Linton is a well established, private Microlight airfield in Kent. We welcome invited guests and request you PPR in all cases.
By Air: We are 5nm north west of Headcorn and are on the main CAA aviation maps. By Road: We are set back on a private farm, off Linton Hill. The nearest postcode is TN12 9BH.
Without exception, Prior Permission is Required. Use the Contact form or call John on 01622 863300 (Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm). If no answer, don't assume its ok to fly in.
We have two runways in the same orientation, the main runway 29/11 is approximately 400 Metres long. It has open approaches on both sides. The other runway (our winter runway) is slightly higher up the hill and is currently about 200 Metres long.
All circuits are to the south at 1000 feet, see the circuit diagram below. Standard overhead join at minimum of 1500 feet. The Airfield elevation is 55 feet. Use SAFETYCOM 135.475 and blind call your movements. There is plenty of traffic around the area with other airfields nearby and the Air Ambulance using the same location. Avoid overflying the fishing lakes and local housing.
We have a tea hut but there are no toilet facilities here. The best place for this is the Stile Bridge Inn, just a few minutes walk from the airfield. They serve good food and drink.
We take security seriously, all visitors will need to be known to the Microlight community before being invited here. If you happen to be one of those people interested in stealing anything from us, be warned, we have 2 ex special forces pilots resident here and they will track you down, disembowl you and feed you to the pigs. We have constantly recording cameras and alarms and the farm is monitored 24/7.
